We call out what arrives and them move beyond it.

Perhaps that question sits beneath AI, spirituality, institutions, ideology and even relationship itself. I suspect it is one of those questions that sits at the base of my own thinking and drives my curiosity into so many different areas of what it means to live a fully human life.
PS: Just typing this I realised it has already opened other doorways to walk through. What is sovereignty, for example? And what faculty within us preserves it? I feel another essay starting to write itself.

We live in a time where so many special interests are lobbying for our attention. All forms of media are flooded with narratives, each claiming to be the correct position to follow. Now more than ever, we have to sharpen our discernment and critical thinking. And above all, we have to turn up the volume on that internal voice which, more often than not, already knows the way.
As humans, we carry a profound gift in our somatic sensing. It is what gives rise to that internal voice, when we let it, while tuning out the competing noise that was never designed to serve us.
I believe that we are at a stage in our evolution as a species where sovereignty has to take a front row seat.
For far too long it has been implied that we need a mediator to tell us what's best. The priest standing between us and the source is the oldest form of that, and the newest form now wears the face of an intelligence we speak with every day. That part is new. But it does not save us, and it cannot be its own witness.
The protection was never a better mediator. It is calibration... our own knowing restored to its seat, beside the evidence rather than beneath it, with nothing outside us left to carry the whole authority.
That is how we participate fully and stay sovereign at the same time. We keep the seat. :)
