Thank you for the kind words and for sharing your perspective. Finding language for that which exists just beyond our knowing is a challenge, for sure. I think the exercise itself is part of what helps us to expand.
I greatly appreciate the embodied, somatic quality to this piece, so often missing.
"What becomes possible when you trust that intelligence emerges through relationship with mystery rather than mastery over it?" For me, this is very close to the heart of things, not simply as a creative but for living life. Trusting the mystery, and what unknown novelty or refinement arises from listening. Waiting. Feeling. Not knowing.
Totally true! I have this sentence in my last article, have you ever felt wise for not knowing. I'm not sure now if we have to speak of intelligence or instinct. If it's a cognitive thing we need to practice or something we need to learn to feel in our guts?
I think it's a beautiful combination of both. We can start by completely redefining the word "Intelligence" - or rather, rediscovering its original meaning. It's not something we possess but something we participate in. This takes all the pressure off having to know everything.
When we redefine intelligence as the capacity to participate in coherence, our role shifts from accumulating answers to creating conditions for knowing to emerge. Sometimes this feels deeply cognitive - a conscious practice of listening and attunement. Other times it feels like pure instinct - trusting the gut wisdom that speaks before thought.
Both are intelligence expressing itself through different channels. The "not knowing" creates the open space where both can operate.
100% agree with this take. In fact I believe this to be so crucially important it is difficult even verbalize it.
But you did a great job 🌟

Thanks for your articulation of this.

I love your description of intelligence, I think you'll like my article about the fool!
